Reviews The joy of changing a person's life by creating a beautiful, functional, and healthy smile is one of the intangible rewards of being a dentist. Missing teeth can become a real burden and cause long term complications. I can help you restore function and comfort again with dental implants which have proven to be very successful. I am a great believer in high quality of patient care. I use the 'Nobel Biocare' implant system which is one of the world's leading, most researched, and reliable implant systems with an excellent reputation. Reviews

Dental Implants

What are dental implants and how do they work?

Dental implants in Clapham are fixed replacement teeth which look, feel and function like natural teeth meaning you can eat and drink whatever you are used to and improving your quality of life in subtle ways.

People who have felt embarrassed and worried because of their tooth problems are often amazed by what new permanent teeth can do for their self-esteem and confidence to smile.

Why choose dental implants?

Dental implants are one of the most predictable ways to replace missing or un-savable teeth. They usually last far longer than bridges, crowns and dentures. Dental implants are the closest thing to your own teeth in how they look and feel. Though the initial cost is higher they usually need far less replacements. They do however require minor surgery to place the implants.

Am I suitable for dental implants?

Most people are suitable for dental implants. You need to have enough bone in the area that implant placement is planned. This will be assessed by Dr Aussia at your consultation appointment. Older Age is NOT a contraindication. Patients will need to be at least 18 Years old.

How long does a dental implant take?

Treatment times vary. Usually we will place the implant and provide a temporary tooth to replace the gap. Then the crown/ bridge/ denture will be placed 4 to 6 months later. For same day teeth, a full set of teeth is fixed in place on the implants and replaced with the final set 4 to 6 months later.

What is the process for having dental implants?

During your initial consultation with our dental practice you will be given an individual treatment plan, an explanation of the process, likely timescale and costs. If it is determined that you are suitable, you will have the opportunity to consider the proposed treatment and make an appointment to return to have the implant placed.

On the second appointment, if you have enough bone, the implant is placed and then given time for your body to fuse with it (Osseointegrate).

You will return 4 to 6 months later where the implant is uncovered and the final crown/ bridge/ denture fixed to the implant.

If there is insufficient bone, artificial bone may need to be placed making the processes slightly longer.

What results can I expected from my new dental implant?

Dental implants in Clapham offer a fixed replacement of teeth that do not damage or put pressure on your natural teeth. They are the closest replacement to your teeth in appearance and function. If looked after with good cleaning and annual reviews, they usually last much longer than crowns or bridges.

Are dental implants affordable?

How do dental implants contribute to overall oral health?

Dental implants play a crucial role in maintaining oral health by preventing bone loss in the jaw, which often follows tooth loss. When you lose teeth, the bone that once supported those teeth begins to deteriorate, which can lead to changes in facial structures over time. Implants act as a root for the new teeth, stimulating and maintaining bone growth, which helps preserve both the jawbone and the contour of your face. Our experienced dentists offer this dental service as part of a comprehensive approach to ensure you have healthy teeth and a complete smile.

What are the advantages of choosing dental implants for replacing single teeth or multiple teeth?

Dental implant treatment is ideal for replacing single teeth and multiple teeth, helping to restore a complete smile while supporting good oral hygiene. Unlike other dental treatments like bridges or dentures, implants provide a permanent solution that integrates with your bone, ensuring that each implant acts and feels like natural, healthy teeth. They are designed to blend seamlessly with your existing teeth, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. Our team of dental professionals is dedicated to providing a wide range of tailored dental services that address individual needs and preferences, ensuring optimal comfort and effectiveness.

How can a dedicated team of experienced dentists ensure the success of my dental implants?

Our dedicated team of experienced dentists ensures the success of your dental implants through meticulous planning, advanced technology, and personalized care.
